Reflections

For the Art Direction task, our group was required to interview an external company to learn more about their creative process and industry insights. Initially, we reached out to several well known companies such as Bandai Namco, Knot Studio, and Larian Studios, but unfortunately, we faced multiple rejections. It was quite disheartening not being able to visit or interview any of them, as we were genuinely excited to learn from professionals in the creative field and visit their company(I hope they give us souvenir).

Despite these challenges, our lecturer later helped us by suggesting a local company, and we eventually managed to secure an interview with the founder. This opportunity turned out to be meaningful, as we gained valuable perspectives on real-world art direction responsibilities, team collaboration, and decision-making in design projects. For this project I learn that, finding company for busy will be hard to answer us. after we get our interview the other part will be solve easily.

For my individual role, I focused on creating the Art Director Profile, which involved researching the interviewee’s background, summarizing their daily responsibilities, and identifying the skills and tools used in professional art direction. Through this process, I learned how much creative leadership depends on both visual communication and project coordination, which gave me a deeper appreciation for the role of an Art Director in the design industry.
